Princess Shahnaz Pahlavi

Princess Shahnaz Pahlavi (b. 1940), daughter of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the last Shah of Iran, and his first wife, Princess Fawzia of Egypt; granddaughter of Queen Tadj ol-Molouk. Remained in Iran after her parents’ divorce and was educated in Belgium and Switzerland. Was married, firstly, to Ardeshir Zahedi, a diplomat, from 1957 to 1964, and secondly, to Khosrow Jahanbani, from 1971 until his death in 2014; has three children. Has resided in Switzerland since the Islamic Revolution of 1979.

Dress worn to the coronation of the Shah of Iran, 1967

The coronation of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi (1919-80), the Shah of Iran and his third wife, Empress Farah (b. 1938), took place on October 26, 1967 at Gulistan Palace in Tehran. A full discussion of Princess Shahnaz’s coronation outfit is available here.
