Queen Caroline Amalie (Caroline Amalie of Augustenburg)

Caroline Amalie of Augustenburg (1796-1881), second wife and consort of King Christian VIII of Denmark. Daughter of Friedrich Christian II, Duke of Augustenburg, and his wife Princess Louise Augusta of Denmark and Norway. Married in 1815, becoming stepmother of the future Frederik VII of Denmark, but had no issue herself. Crowned Queen in 1839. Widowed in 1848.
