Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna of Russia, Duchess of Södermanland

Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna of Russia (1890-1958), daughter of Grand Duke Paul Alexandrovich of Russia and Princess Alexandra of Greece and Denmark, but raised by her uncle Grand Duke Sergei Alexandrovich, and his wife, Grand Duchess Elizabeth Fyodorovna. Was married, firstly, to Prince Wilhelm of Sweden, Duke of Södermanland, from 1908 to 1914, and secondly, to Prince Sergei Mikhailovich Putyatin, from 1917 to 1923. Settled in Paris, where she opened an embroidery workshop called Kitmir in the 1920s. Migrated to America in 1928, then moved to Argentina during World War II. Died in Konstanz, West Germany.
